James Timothy (Tim) Hanley, 48, operator of Tim's Superette on Riverside Drive, died Tuesday night at 9 o'clock in Veterans Hospital, Nashville, after a three-month illness. Funeral Services will he conducted at 2 pm Friday at Tarpley's Funeral Home by the Rev M L Arbuckle and Rev Robert E Craig. Burial will be in Greenwood. Mr Hanley was born in Clarksville, May 22, 1921; son of the late William A and Mary Alice Ellarson Hanley. He formerly served as a memberof The Clarksville City Council.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs Mae Landrum Hanley, whom he married April 3, 1946; a son, James T Hanley, Clarksville; a daughter, Mrs David Jacobson, Pirmasens, Germany; two brothers, Lester and J D Hanley, both of Clarksville; two sisters, Mrs Charles Nussbaumer, Nashville, and Mrs. Robert Kruckerburg, Clarksville; one grandchild. He was a member of Gracey Avenue Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Wiifred Moore, Charles Jones, Lonnie Perigo, Frank Cunningham, Robert Bradley, Charles Vaden Callis Bailey, and W L Vaughn. He was a resident of 22 Barker Street and was a veteran of World War II.
