The Neptune, Master Henry Spelman, sailed 1618, departing England, arriving 1618 Virginia. The ship Neptune arrives at Jamestown carrying the remains of the Governor Thomas West, Lord Delaware. West and 30 others died on the difficult voyage to the colony. According to his servant, John Martin, West "dyed in the waye as he went to Virginia. . . . and the body of the said Lo: Delewarre was carried thether and buried there."
