Jurian, was born as the eldest child of Johannes Westfall. He was christened by the Kingston Church on April 27, 1684 and moved to present Port Jervis, New York in 1697, when he was age thirteen. In about 1710, he wed Styntje(Christina) Kuykendall and they moved to Big Minisink Island in the Delaware River, next to Montague, New Jersey. There they had three children and they were christened by a circuit rider from the Kingston Dutch Reformed Church.
Christina died in 1715 and Jurian wed Marytje(Maria) Cuddeback on August 20, 1716.

According to the Kingston Dutch church records, Styntje (Christina) was the daughter of Leur Jacobsen Van Kuykendall and Grietje Aartzse Tack and was christened by the church on April 2, 1682. She wed Jurian Westfall in Machackemech (Port Jervis), New York in 1710 and they moved to Big Minisink Island in the Delaware River, next to Montague, New Jersey. There they had three children before she died in 1715. The children were christened by a circuit rider from the Kingston Dutch Reformed Church.
